Code with AI.Read every line.

CodeKelas teaches teenagers, SPM leavers, university students and working teams in Malaysia to build software with AI, then to read, test and fix everything the AI writes. Each week ends with a one-to-one review with your tutor.

  • The same tutor all course
  • Your code on GitHub from week one
  • Half of every mark from work done without AI
  • Lessons in English or Bahasa Melayu

Spec given to the AI: Return the average of a list of marks. An empty list has an average of 0.

Understand

Read it before you run it. What happens when the list of marks is empty?

Every lesson trains the same four moves

An AI can write a program in seconds. Telling whether it works, and why, is the part that takes practice.

  1. 1

    Understand

Read the AI's code before you run it, and say what it will do.

    How it is checked

Questions about your own code, marked by running it, and a spoken explanation every week.

  2. 2

    Find

Prove what is wrong with a test that fails, or show with tests that nothing is.

    How it is checked

Your tests run against broken versions of the code to see what they catch.

  3. 3

    Improve the spec

Fix the instructions the AI was given instead of patching what it wrote.

    How it is checked

The AI writes the code again from your spec, several times; a good spec gives working code every time.

  4. 4

    Go round again

Run the checks again and answer every review comment before you merge.

    How it is checked

Work counts once its checks pass and every comment has an answer.

  5. Back to Understand, round again until the code holds

A week at CodeKelas

You learn by doing, in the app. Then your tutor goes through the week's work with you, the way a senior engineer reviews a colleague's code.

  1. Work in the app

Exercises and your own project, from about 3 to 8 hours depending on the course. The editor runs in your browser, so there is nothing to install for the first two weeks.

  2. Hand it in as a pull request

Everything you hand in is a commit and a pull request in your own GitHub repository. Automatic checks run on it within minutes.

  3. Answer questions about your code

Before work counts, you answer questions about the change you made. Your answers are marked by running your code.

  4. Your one-to-one

Sixty minutes with your tutor: explain your code aloud, go through the review, learn the next idea, try a short task without AI, and plan the week ahead.

    The one-to-one, minute by minute

Four courses, one way of working

Every course runs the same loop. What changes is the pace, and how much of what you build calls an AI model.

Ages 13 to 17

From a first program to an app that calls an AI model, one reviewed pull request at a time.

Eight monthly units for teenagers: from a first program to a web app that calls an AI model, with every piece of work tested and reviewed.

About Teen

AI that under-18s can use safely

Parents ask us the same questions, so here are the rules every student under 18 works by.

  • Only our tools

Students under 18 use only the AI that CodeKelas provides, with a cap on how much each student can use. They never need their own AI subscription.

  • Private code

Your child's code stays in a private GitHub repository while they are under 18. It goes public only if they choose to, with your consent.

  • Explain before it writes

A complete beginner gets no AI-written code in the first week. The AI explains a line when asked, and reveals a solution one step at a time.

  • Checked without AI

Half of every mark comes from work done without AI: a monthly check in the one-to-one, and explaining their own code aloud.

  • Never school assessments

We never help produce work that a school or exam board will mark, such as an SPM coursework project.

Something else on your mind?

Ask us on WhatsApp

No. The first two weeks are built for complete beginners: you read a short working program, predict what it does, run it and change one line before you write anything from scratch.

Yes. The practice happens in the browser and the weekly one-to-one is a live online lesson, so you can join from anywhere in Malaysia.

A laptop or a school Chromebook for the weekly work. Reviewing code and answering questions also works on a phone.

Either. Lessons run in English or Bahasa Melayu, and every new term is explained the first time it comes up.

Students under 18 use only the AI that CodeKelas provides, through our own system, with limits on each account. Adults can also use their own tools, and record what those tools wrote.

It covers the programming those exams test, and exam students get practice packs each month. We never help write work that a school or exam board will mark.

Teen and Campus run from November 2026 to June 2027. Build with AI starts on 5 January 2027, with a second intake from 12 April. Work cohorts begin around February 2027.

That depends on the course and whether you choose one-to-one or a small group. Message us on WhatsApp or email us and we will send the current fees.
